Samsung recently released the Android Oreo update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. Now it looks like the update has been paused because some people were having issues with their handsets after installing it.
Some owners of the handsets have reported that their device has been rebooting after installing the update. Samsung has now decided to put the update on hold until they get the issue resolved.
A spokesperson from Samsung’s European help form has said that “Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update. We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible.”
It is not clear as yet on how long it will take Samsung to fix this issue and restart the update, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.If you have installed the update o n your handset and have had this issue, please leave a comment below and let us know.
