The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is a device that we have been hearing a lot about over the last few week, the handset is an updated version of the S5 with higher specifications than the existing model.
Samsung are expected to launch the Galaxy S5 Prime next month, along with the new Galaxy S5 Mini, which may launch as the Galaxy S5 Dx.
On Friday, details on a new Samsung smartphone appeared online, the handset came with the model number SM-G906, and the name of the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A, this is thought to be the South Korean version of the Galaxy S5 Prime.
The listing for the handset, confirmed some of the specifications on the new S5 Prime, which is expected to feature a 5.1 inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The handset is rumored to come with Qualcomm’s latest mobile processor, the Snapdragon 805, which is a quad core processor that will come with a clock speed of 2.5GHz.
We are also expecting the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime to come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage, and if you need more storage, there will also be a microSD card slot which will support the latest cards up to a maximum of 128GB.
The S5 Prime will also come with the same cameras as the S5, which will include a 2 megapixel front facing camera and a 16 megapixel rear camera, the device will also come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
As yet we do not know much about the design of the S5 Prime, the Galaxy S5 features a plastic casing on the back of the handset, although the Galaxy S5 Prime is expected to use premium materials.
We have also heard that the handset will be available in limited quantities at launch, Samsung could possibly release the device as a limited edition, and it is expected to cost more that the existing S5.
