It’s been a while since the Samsung Galaxy S4 received the Android 4.4 KitKat update across the globe, but it was nowhere is sight for the LTE-A variant of the handset which came with Snapdragon 800 as its SoC.
For those of you rocking the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A variant, there’s a piece of good news for you. Samsung is rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the handset in the Nordic region — Sweden, Finland and more.
The latest update comes with a XXUCNG3 build number, and is rolling out over-the-air as we speak. The update brings a similar set of features introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S4, such as performance improvements, improved SMS capabilities which give users the ability to select Hangouts as their default SMS app, restyled navigation and task bar icons, camera icon on the lock screen, wireless printing support, camera icon on the lock screen and much more.
There’s a chance that it may not have reached you, but don’t panic, the update process is gradual and it can take a few days for it to reach all users. If you’re impatient, head over to the Settings on your device and check manually for the update. If you’ve received the update, let us know about the improvements you can notice.
