It looks like Samsung has finally released the Android 2.2 Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S smartphones here in the UK, although we are not quite sure what took them so long.
Samsung recently announced on Twitter that the Android 2.2 Froyo update is available for all Galaxy S smartphones in the UK on all mobile networks.
We have some good news for the festive season; 2.2 is now available for the Galaxy S on all networks.
Considering that Samsung built the new Nexus S smartphone for Google, which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you would have thought that Samsung would have been able to release Froyo for Galaxy S handsets a lot sooner than they did.
Lets hope that Galaxy S owners don’t have to wait as long for the release of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
