Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to hit retail in several global markets on September 15th, but if you’re based in the subcontinent, you will have to wait slightly longer if you want to get your hands on the device.
Previously, we heard that the Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders will commence in India on September 11th carrying a INR 74,900 ($1,170 or €984) price tag. As for availability, a new report suggests that it will launch in India on September 25th.
The new report hints that the price of the handset at launch will be INR 69,900 (that’s about $1,092 or €918), which is quite lower than the one rumored earlier.
The handset comes with a 6.3-inch display sporting a resolution of 2960 by 1440 pixels, an Exynos 8995 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other features includes a dual 12MP camera for photos and videos, a 3,300 MAh battery, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE, it features an iris scanner, facial recognition, fingerprint scanner and Android 7.1.1 Nougat as its operating system.
There’s no official word from the company about the launch of the device in India, but September 25th seems plausible since the handset is going to launch in many global markets before that.
