Last month Samsung announced their new 256GB embedded UFS storage for smartphones, the new storage is expected to first appear in the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 smartphone.
Now it looks like Samsung’s new 256GB storage modules have gone into production, the storage is based on the UFS 2.0 standard which is said to be twice as fast as the previous version.
The memory is capable of read speeds of around 850 MB/s and write speeds of around 250 MB/s,the company has not revealed which device will get the new UFS storage first.
Samsung are expected to launch their new Galaxy Note 6 later this year, it is expected to be one of the first smartphones to come with 256GB of storage and is rumored to use the new UFS storage module.
