Samsung are holding a press event on the 4th of September at IFA, they will announce the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and we had previously heard rumors that they would also announce the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch.
Samsung has now confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Gear will be made official on the 4th of September, the news comes from Lee Young-hee, who is the executive vice president of Samsung Mobile.
He told the Korea Times that the Samsung Galaxy gear will feature a non flexible display, it will also run Google’s Android OS, and he described the device as a ‘wearable concept device’.
We previously heard some details about the Galaxy Gear, the device is rumored to feature a 1.67 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy gear will apparently be powered by a dual core 1.5GHz processor and will also come with 1GB of RAM and will feature a 2 megapixel camera.
The Galaxy Gear is rumored to launch in a number of colors, which will include, white, grey, orange, black and white gold, we should have more details about the device next month.
