Earlier this yeary, Samsung introduced the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 carrying a decent set of specifications. The handsets launched with Android 4.4.4 KitKat as their operating system out of the box.
If you happen to be a proud owner of the Samsung Galaxy E7 or the Galaxy E5, you be glad to find out that Android 5.0 Lollipop update is expected to roll out for both devices by the third quarter of 2015, according to SamMobile.
The third quarter is still a little far, but at least we do have an idea that both devices will be updated to Android Lollipop.
Google also announced the Android M operating system, but it’s not coming out until later this year — its available as a preview for a few devices though.
As for the Samsung Galaxy E5, it features a 5-inch 720p display with processing handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera on board.
As for the bigger Samsung Galaxy E7, it boasts a 5.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels, a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13MP camera for photos and videos, 5MP rear camera and a 2,950 mAh battery.
We’ll update you as soon as the new operating system starts rolling out for the handsets.
