The new Samsung Galaxy A7 and Samsung Galaxy A5 are expected to launch early next year. We have already heard a number of specifications on both devices and both handsets have been listed on Samsung’s website.
The Galaxy A7 previously appeared at the FCC and now both handsets have received WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance.
Design and Display
Both the new Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 are expected to come with an edge-to-edge Infinity display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. The Galaxy A7 will apparently come with a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This design choice is likely to appeal to users who appreciate a larger screen for multimedia consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The Infinity display is known for its minimal bezels, providing a more immersive viewing experience.
Specifications and Performance
Other rumored specifications on the new Galaxy A7 include 6GB of RAM and a Samsung Exynos 7885 processor. This combination is expected to offer a smooth and efficient performance, capable of handling multiple applications and tasks simultaneously. The handset will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which, while not the latest version of Android, still offers a robust and user-friendly experience with features like split-screen multitasking and enhanced notifications.
The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, is expected to feature slightly lower specifications compared to the A7. It may come with 4GB of RAM and a less powerful processor, making it a more budget-friendly option while still offering a solid performance for everyday tasks.
Camera and Additional Features
In terms of camera capabilities, both the Galaxy A7 and A5 are expected to feature high-quality sensors that will allow users to capture stunning photos and videos. The A7 is rumored to come with a dual-camera setup, which could include features like optical image stabilization, portrait mode, and enhanced low-light performance. The A5 is likely to have a single-camera setup but still offer excellent photo quality for its price range.
Both devices are also expected to come with a range of additional features such as fingerprint sensors, facial recognition, and possibly even water and dust resistance. These features will enhance the overall user experience, providing added security and durability.
Battery Life and Connectivity
Battery life is always a crucial factor for smartphone users, and the Galaxy A7 and A5 are expected to deliver in this area. The A7 is rumored to come with a 3,600mAh battery, which should provide ample power for a full day of use. The A5 is expected to have a slightly smaller battery but still offer good battery life thanks to its efficient hardware and software optimizations.
In terms of connectivity, both devices will support the latest WiFi standards, as evidenced by their recent WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance. They are also expected to support fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their devices and get back to using them without long wait times.
