It looks like Samsung may be working on a new handset for its Galaxy A series, a new device has appeared on Geekbench which is apparently the Samsung Galaxy A30S.
The handset is listed on Geekbench with the model number SM-A307FN and the device will apparently come with a Samsung Exynos 7885 mobile processor.
Other specifications on this new Galaxy A30s smartphone will include 3GB of RAM, we presume there may also be a 4GB of RAM option as the Galaxy A30 has these options.
Expected Features and Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A30s is expected to build on the success of its predecessor, the Galaxy A30. The Exynos 7885 processor, which is a mid-range chipset, should provide a balanced performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming. The inclusion of 3GB of RAM is standard for budget-friendly smartphones, but the potential for a 4GB RAM variant could offer better multitasking capabilities.
In terms of storage, while the Geekbench listing does not specify, it is likely that the Galaxy A30s will come with at least 32GB of internal storage, with the possibility of a 64GB variant. Additionally, Samsung typically includes a microSD card slot in its Galaxy A series, allowing for expandable storage, which is a significant advantage for users who need more space for apps, photos, and videos.
Design and Display
While there are no official images or detailed descriptions of the Galaxy A30s’ design, it is expected to follow the design language of the Galaxy A series. This likely means a sleek and modern look with a plastic back and a glossy finish. The display is anticipated to be a Super AMOLED panel, which is a staple in Samsung’s smartphone lineup, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks. The screen size could be around 6.4 inches, similar to the Galaxy A30, providing an immersive viewing experience for media consumption and gaming.
Camera and Battery
The camera setup on the Galaxy A30s is still under wraps, but it is reasonable to expect improvements over the Galaxy A30. The predecessor featured a dual-camera system with a 16MP main sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor. The A30s might see an upgrade in the camera department, possibly with higher resolution sensors or additional lenses for enhanced photography capabilities.
Battery life is another critical aspect of any smartphone, and the Galaxy A30s is expected to come with a substantial battery capacity. The Galaxy A30 had a 4000mAh battery, and it would not be surprising if the A30s features a similar or slightly larger battery. Fast charging support is also likely, ensuring that users can quickly recharge their devices and stay connected throughout the day.
Software and Connectivity
On the software front, the Galaxy A30s will likely run on Samsung’s One UI, based on Android 9.0 Pie or possibly Android 10, depending on its release date. One UI is known for its user-friendly interface and useful features, such as a system-wide dark mode and improved navigation gestures.
Connectivity options should include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack is also expected, catering to users who prefer wired audio solutions.
The Samsung Galaxy A30s appears to be a promising addition to the Galaxy A series, offering a balanced mix of performance, design, and features. While we await more detailed information and official announcements, the initial specifications suggest that the A30s will be a competitive option in the mid-range smartphone market. As soon as we get some more information about the device, we will let you guys know.
