We just heard that the Samsung Galaxy S9 is coming at MWC next month and now we have some details on the Samsung foldable smartphone. Samsung’s DJ Koh revealed the information about the Galaxy S9, he also talked about their new foldable smartphone.
Last year Samsung’s DJ Koh confirmed that they would be launching their new Samsung Foldable smartphone in 2018, recent rumors suggested it would launch in December of this year. DJ Koh has now confirmed that the handset will not be launching until 2019.
Very little details are known about the foldable smartphone so far, what we do know is that it will feature a foldable display. Recent rumors have suggested that the display will measure around 7.3 inches when fully folded out.
Back in December some sketches for the handset were revealed, these were used by Samsung when the company filed for a patent with the USPTO. As Samsung has delayed the launch of the handset until 2019, we suspect the handset could launch at next years Mobile World Congress, as soon as we get some more details about the device we will let you guys know.
Samsung are not the first company to be working on a foldable handset, ZTE launched their ZTE Axon M smartphone last year.
