We can expect cheaper and faster SD cards in the future thanks to manufactures increasing capacities and decreasing manufacturing costs.
Samsung have reached a milestone and become the first within the SD development to create a 20-nm class NAND which Samsung claim to be more reliable and 30% faster than the 30-nm MLC chips forming the core of its existing 8GB and higher SD cards
These new semiconductor chips will increase the range of options when it comes to memory cards for use in devices such as smartphones, as well as for high-end IT applications.
