Samsung has announced their latest mobile processor, the Samsung Exynos 7 Octa, which is made up of four ARM Cortex A57 cores and four Cortex A53 cores.
According to Samsung their new Samsung Exynos 7 Octa processor brings a 57 percent performance improvement over their current Exynos 5 processors.
Exynos 7 Octa provides astonishing performance for data processing intensive applications such as high-resolution high-end games, image/video processing, security solutions, face/eye recognition, augmented reality and more. Exynos 7 Octa also implements big.LITTLE Heterogeneous Multi Processing (HMP), which maximizes CPU performance. HMP technology along with ARM Cortex-A57 cores and Cortex-A53 cores provides a 57% CPU performance increase from the previous generation Exynos, Exynos 5 Octa. With 20nm low power process technology, big.LITTLE HMP and MIC, Exynos 7 Octa provides phenomenal performance while simultaneously delivering stellar power efficiency.
As well as improved processing performance the new Samsung Exynos 7 Octa also brings improved graphics which a Mali T-760 GPU, which Samsung says will give around 74 percent improved graphics over the Exynos 5.
