Sales of Samsung’s flagship smartphones the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are apparently down in South Korea.
According to a recent report sales of the devices with the three mobile carriers, LG Uplus, KT and SK Telecom are apparently down on sales of the S8 and S8 Plus last year. Samsung has apparently sold 707 units of the handsets in the latest two months.
March saw sales of 476,000 units and April apparently saw sales of 231,000 units. Samsung sold one million units of the S8 and S8 Plus in the same time period last year.
Apparently because the design of the two devices is similar to the S8 and S8 Plus, South Koreans are not as interested in the handset as previous years, this is one of the reasons why the handset is not selling as well as expected in Samsung’s home country.
