Raspberry Pi enthusiasts searching for a new project to keep them busy may be interested in a new project to create a Raspberry Pi smart bartender which is this week been published to the Hackster.io by Hacker Shack. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the project which will take approximately 12 hours to complete and requires “intermediate” skill levels.
Your perfect drink can be configured directly on the smart bartender by using two buttons and a screen, and the system allows you to add any number of drinks to the bartenders library using the accompanying code. “Tired of paying $12 for a small drink at the bars? Well be tired no more. You can have your very own personal bartender in your home, and also be the envy of your friends. We built a smart, Raspberry Pi powered bartender that can make drinks by mixing up to 6 ingredients together at the same time, so you can have anything from a rum and coke to a long island iced tea.”
The project is still in development and can be expanded to mix more ingredients depending on your preferences, its creators also explain that the system has the potential to be connected to personal assistance such as Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s assistant to provide a perfect opportunity to create your perfect drink autonomously.
