Qualcomm has announced a new mobile processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and as the new suggests the processor is based on the Snapdragon 820.
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 is around 10% faster than the Snapdragon 820, the processor is not designed to replace the Snapdragon 820.
According to Qualcomm the new Snapdragon 821 is designed to be an interim processor to be used in new high end devices until their next generation processor is released.
This new processor comes with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz as opposed to 2.15GHz on the Snapdragon 820. We can expect to see this new processor in various devices by the end of the year.
These devices could include the new Google Nexus smartphones and possibly the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
