
QNAP has introduced two new network attached storage (NAS) options to its range in the form of the TVS-882BR and TVS-882BRT3 which feature 5.25” SATA ODD for installing an optical disc drive or two slim disc drives and the TVS-882BR also supports USB disc drives. Offering 7th Generation Intel 14nm multi-core processors with Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) connectivity.
Other features include 2 x M.2 SATA 6Gb/s slots and Qtier auto-tiering for optimised storage efficiency, together with triple HDMI output enables direct disc playing through Linux Station, as well as being able to Transcode 4K H.264 videos on-the-fly or offline. Configuration options include :
– TVS-882BR-RDX-i5-16G: with Intel Core i5-7500 3.4 GHz quad-core processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and pre-installed Tandberg Data 8813-RDX 5.25-inch docking station
– TVS-882BR-RDX-i7-32G: with Intel Core i7-7700 3.6 GHz quad-core processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and pre-installed Tandberg Data 8813-RDX 5.25-inch docking station
– TVS-882BRT3-RDX-i5-16G: Thunderbolt NAS, with Intel Core i5-7500 3.4 GHz quad-core processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and pre-installed Tandberg Data 8813-RDX 5.25-inch docking station
– TVS-882BRT3-RDX-i7-32G: Thunderbolt NAS, with Intel Core i7-7700 3.6 GHz quad-core processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and pre-installed Tandberg Data 8813-RDX 5.25-inch docking station
