French start-up company Qarnot has unveiled a new crypto currency mining rig which can also double as a radiator or heater in your home. The QC1 is equipped with a passively cooled computer which has been optimised for crypto currency mining. But rather than using fans to cool the computer and components the unique design uses a quiet passive cooling system that allows the heat to dissipate into your room. Allowing you to benefit from the heat created from your crypto mining computer.
Since first developing the systems back in 2010 Qarnot has built three generations of computing heaters with multiple CPUs and sold them to construction companies. Now Qarnot is offering its computers directly to consumers with the QC1 computer radiator equipped with two AMD GPUs in the form of Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX580 with 8GB of VRAM and is designed to mine Ethers crypto currency by default.
The QC1 can easily be set up in just a few minutes and requires an ethernet cable and of course your Ethereum wallet address which can be added to the system using the companion smartphone application. As your radiator/heater generates your Ethereum Qarnot does not receive any payment and you get to keep 100 percent of your cryptocurrency mined. You can order the QC1 for $3,600 or roughly €2,900 from today and the company also takes bitcoin payments if preferred.
