Smartphone photographers that enjoy taking video footage and photographs in lowlight conditions, may find a new smartphone accessory called the PowerLite, indispensable whilst out and about and recording in low light environments.
The PowerLite has been designed to provide extra illumination offering an illumination range between 0-630 lumens or the equivalent of a 40W bulb providing a colour temperature (Kelvin) of 5500.
The beam of the PowerLite can be adjusted to suit your needs and the battery within is capable of providing up to 6 hours of extra’s talk time for your smartphone. Its creators have also designed a slimmer version that is capable of providing up to 3 hours of extra talk time for your smartphone as well as the lighting functionality.
Other features included with the PowerLite are a phone Finder system that allows you to push and hold a button to sound an alert sound on your smartphone. The smartphone camera flash device is available with either Lightning or microUSB connections making it available to use with both Apple and Android devices.
The PowerLite project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise $60,000 in pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
