Sony has rolled out a new PlayStation 3 firmware update this week taking the software to firmware release 4.40 and bringing with it a number of new tweaks and subtle enhancements for PlayStation owners.
The new PlayStation 3 update seems to be a minor update and provides a number of stability improvements to the PlayStation 3 games console.
As well as stability improvements for the PlayStation the new firmware 4.40 update also brings with it updates relating to the Sony RC-S380 card reader device and its compatibility with Sony’s PlayStation console. However more details regarding this are still unknown.
Unfortunately nothing official has been published on any of the PlayStation channels as yet, and there are no obvious changes to the PlayStation 3 user interface of system.
