Pioneer has this week officially unveiled their new Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 tactile DJ controller that allows DJs to mix tracks directly from the Spotify cloud music service or iTunes.
The new Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 builds on the technology used in the previous models that included the DDJ-WeGO and DDJ-WeGO2 and has again been designed for the budding DJ that might be looking for mixers on a tight budget.
The system can be easily connected to an iOS device with Algoriddim’s djay 2 app installed allowing user to benefit from the control provided by the console’s jog wheels, buttons and dials. The DDJ-WeGO3 has been created to liberate DJs from the touch screen to provide users with an authentic mixing and scratching experience, says Pioneer.
The Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 is capable of using either tunes stored in iTunes or Spotify depending on your preference and other DJ software, including djay, or Virtual DJ Limited Edition and Serato DJ Intro for PC and Mac can be used. Watch the video below to learn more about the DDJ-WeGO3 Dj mixer and see it in action. Pioneer explains :
“The latest addition to the DDJ-WeGO series gains a durable, stylish aluminium top plate and is available in black or white. And it is lightweight and small enough to fit in a backpack, so DJs can give spontaneous performances wherever the party takes them.
As well as mains power, the DDJ-WeGO3 can be powered via a USB connection to a PC/Mac or a USB battery pack, for ultimate portability. Plus, when connected to mains power, it charges the DJ’s mobile device while it plays – eliminating concerns about how much battery power is left.”
The new Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 will be available later this month for around €299. For more information on the new DJ controller jump over to the website for details.
