Pebble Smartwatch Receives PayPal Support Via New PayPal App

Owners of the Pebble smartwatch might be interested to learn that from today they can now install a PayPal application onto their Kickstarter funded smartwatch.

Using the new PayPal application Pebble wearers are able to check-in to their PayPal account to pay or uses payment codes at numerous retailers, restaurants and other local businesses that accept PayPal.

The new Pebble PayPal app also allows you to receive payment notifications on your wrist whilst out and about without the need to look at your smartphone.

With the rollout of the PayPal application onto the pebble smartwatch, PayPal is now available across all wearable platforms including Android Wear devices such as the Samsung’s Gear 2, Gear S and Gear Fit. PayPal explains a little more :

“At PayPal, we’re working to make shopping easy and seamless so that you are one step closer to walking into a store and being able to place your order and pay without ever reaching into your pocket. So today, we’re sharing that the PayPal app is now available for Pebble.”
