Cooking can be a very difficult task. There’s always a chance that you may turn the heat a little high, ending up with burnt food. However, things are about to change with Pantelligent.
Pantelligent is a smart frying pan which can help you become a good chef. It connects with your smartphone using the Pantelligent app, and shows you all the steps to cook a perfect meal at home.
Thanks to the sensors, and Bluetooth LE, it shows users the temperature of the frying pan, tells you when to flip the food you’re cooking, and tells you the next steps you need to take to cook a perfect meal. The app has dozens of recipes, and you can even add your own recipe to it if it’s missing from the app. If you can’t find a recipe you’re looking for, you can use the freestyle mode, which allows users to monitor the temperature of the pan without using any recipe.
To get started, simply download the iOS app, select the recipe, and follow the steps on the screen. It will ask you for a few things such as how thick the cut of the meat is so it can tell you about the perfect temperature and time to cook it. It will show you notifications on your smartphone when the pan is hot enough so you can start cooking, and when to take it off the stove.
Pantelligent is seeking funds on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter, and have managed to raise over $36,000 with 43 more days to go. You can get an early bird unit for $199, which is expected to ship in August 2015 if everything goes as planned. In the meantime, take a look at the video below to get more information.
