Blizzard as revealed today that since its launch just nine days ago back on May 24th, 2016 their new game Overwatch is now enjoying over 7 million registered players.
During its free open beta gameplay, Overwatch enjoyed 9.7 million players but now that the game is available to purchase multiple accounts could be tied to the same copy of the game.
Blizzard Entertainment co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime explains :
We poured a lot of effort into creating a game – and a new universe – that anyone could enjoy. We’re ecstatic to have had such a successful launch, and we’re looking forward to all of the fun, competition, and new content still to come.
