Details of a new style of gaming console called the Ouya, have been posted on the AngelList website. Which explains that the Ouya is a hackable Android powered games console concept.
The idea behind the Ouya system concept is to create a $99 Android gaming console that is completely open and free to modify in anyway you can imagine, and will connect to a TV.
The Ouya allows any developer to publisher games for it, all of which will be free to play, and every console will come with its own developer kit allowing you to root the system and build peripherals.
The Ouya Android gaming system has been designed by Yves Behar and fuseproject and also includes advisors Ed Fries, Amol Sarva, Peter Pham, and lists Julie Uhrman of IGN as its founder and CEO. For more information jump over to the AngelList website for details.
