Option has this week unveiled whats currently the worlds smallest mobile 3G and WiFi Hotspot, powered by a USB connection. Allowing you to install the device where ever there maybe a free USB port.
Once inserted into a USB port the XYFI mobile 3G, WiFi hotspot can be administered via a web-based GUI and dedicated mobile pages. Its even equipped with its own microSD card slot which can be used to share files and documents over your local network.
Once launched the XYFI will also comes with a number of power options available to customers, including a wall and car plug, together with an extended battery pack. Jerome Nadel, Chief Experience Officer at Option, explains:
“XYFI’s easy ‘out-of-box’ set-up brings instant connectivity to everyone, without the need to install any software or drivers. It can be powered in many different ways, making it ideal for use on the move anywhere that a user has 3G or WiFi coverage, a USB slot and power. The intuitive web pages are optimized for use on mobile devices and guarantee users the best possible connectivity experience.”
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Option, but they will be announcing suppliers of the device over the coming weeks.
