Not too long ago, OnePlus announced that customers interested in picking up the OnePlus One no longer need an invite to get their hands on the device.
Now, the company has yet another major announcement to make as the company enters into a partnership with Maxis, one of the biggest carriers in Malaysia.
Customers in Malaysia will be able to grab the OnePlus One for RM 1,199 (almost $331) which is slightly lower than the price of the handset in other markets. And yes, it’s the 64GB unlocked variant of the device.
“As we grow, it is increasingly important to work with the right partners who will provide the best experience for our users. Going offline is a first for us and we’re very happy to have found a solid partner in Maxis with whom we can take our first steps”, said Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus.
“In the Internet age, we know what our customers crave: the best devices at competitive prices. We are proud to be working with another cool and innovative brand that holds such individuality around the world. With an attractive MaxisONE plan package and a superior data network, our customers can expect nothing short of a thrilling mobile experience,” said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business.
The handset offers an excellent set of specifications which are not going out of date any time soon. The company is rumored to launch the successor of the device in the coming months, but it’s not yet official.
