Apple and Samsung have been involved in a range of different patent cases over the last few years and Samsung were ordered to pay Apple around $1 billion.
Now one of the cases between Apple and Samsung has been overturned an Samsung no longer has to pay $120 million in damages.
The US court of appeals recently overturned a jury ruling on $120 million in damages that the Android smartphone maker were ordered to pay Apple, the original ruling took place in May of 2014.
Samsung said that “Today’s decision is a win for consumer choice and puts competition back where it belongs – in the marketplace, not in the courtroom.” , Apple did not comment on the ruling.
