Japan’s NTT DoCoMo has announced a new smartphone from Sharp, the Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E, which is the first smartphone on the market with an IGZO display.
IGZO stands for indium gallium zinc oxide technology, and this new display is designed to provide a higher translucency that normal LCD display, this means that there is less need for backlighting, which makes the device more energy efficient and it uses less battery power.
The Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E features a 4.9 inch IGZO display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, there is also a 16 megapixel camera and a quad core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor plus an Adreno 320 GPU, it will come with Android 4,0 Ice Cream Sanwich
