As well as announcing the new Nokia Lumia 800c for China, Nokia also announced another CDMA based Windows Phone device, the Nokia Lumia 610c.
We saw the Nokia Lumia 610 back in February and now the device is headed to China with CDMA as the Nokia Lumia 610C and it will be available with China Telecom.
Specifications and Features
The Nokia Lumia 610c features the same specifications as the original device, which include a 3.7 inch WVGA capacitive LCD touchscreen display that has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This screen size and resolution provide a decent viewing experience for users, making it suitable for browsing the web, watching videos, and playing games.
The Lumia 610c also comes with a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 800MHz processor. While this processor may not be the most powerful on the market, it is sufficient for handling everyday tasks such as checking emails, social media, and light gaming. The device is equipped with 256MB of RAM, which is adequate for running the Windows Phone operating system smoothly, although it may struggle with more demanding applications.
In terms of storage, the Lumia 610c offers 16GB of built-in storage. This should be enough for most users to store their apps, photos, and music. However, it is worth noting that the device does not support expandable storage via a microSD card, so users will need to manage their storage space carefully.
Camera and Additional Features
The Nokia Lumia 610c is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera that features auto-focus and an LED flash. This camera setup allows users to capture decent quality photos and videos, making it a good option for those who enjoy taking pictures on the go. The auto-focus feature ensures that images are sharp and clear, while the LED flash helps in low-light conditions.
In addition to its camera capabilities, the Lumia 610c comes with a range of other features that enhance the user experience. For instance, the device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, making it easy to stay connected and navigate while on the move. The phone also includes a range of pre-installed apps, such as Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive, which provide useful navigation and location-based services.
The Lumia 610c runs on the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, which offers a user-friendly interface and a range of customization options. Users can personalize their home screen with live tiles, which provide real-time updates from their favorite apps and contacts. The operating system also includes features such as People Hub, which integrates social media updates from platforms like Facebook and Twitter, making it easy to stay connected with friends and family.
Overall, the Nokia Lumia 610c is a well-rounded device that offers a good balance of features and performance for its price range. It is an excellent option for users in China who are looking for an affordable Windows Phone with CDMA support.
