Nissan has unveiled a special custom Armada SUV that will be on display at Overland Expo WEST this week. The blank slate for the show car was a Nissan Armada that has been tweaked with a slick roof-mounted tent and lots of off-roading goodies. The vehicle features a stock 390hp V8 engine and 8,500-pound towing capacity.
The roof tent is a four-person Mt. Shasta unit along with an extra popup tent, sleeping bags, and chairs. A Lowrance navigation system and Rugged Radios off-road radio system is part of the kit. Storage includes Rhino Racks, ARB pull-out drawers, Pelican gear cases, a fridge-freezer, and Otterbox Venture coolers.
The suspension is Icon Vehicle Dynamics coil-overs and extended A-arms. Wheels are 17-inch icon units showed with 35/12.5/17 tires. Magnaflow provides the exhaust system and the Mountain Patrol has a host of recovery gear and vehicle protection devices for the harsh environment it will operate in.
