Nintendo has announced that it will give consumers the chance to be among the first in the world to purchase the new Wii U console at midnight on November 18. Nintendo is hosting Nintendo World in the New York Rockefeller Plaza. Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-aime will be on hand and will sell the first console to the first customer in line.
Nintendo will also be offering premium items while supply lasts during the event. Nintendo is also warning that consoles are in limited supply and are being sold on a first-come first-served basis. The basic Wii U will sell for $299.99.
A deluxe version with more storage capacity, accessories, and a Nintendo Land video game will sell for $349.99. The event is being held Saturday, November 17 from 6 PM until midnight with the console officially going on sale Sunday, November 18.
