Nintendo has announced that they have now sold more than 4 million units of their Nintendo 3DS console in the US, since the device went on sale last year, and they also revealed that the 3DS has been a faster seller than the Nintendo Wii was in the first 9 months since the device was launched.
They also released some details for their other consoles, with a total of 3.4 million units of the Nintendo DS being sold in the US in 2011.
It will be interesting to see if Nintendo are able to increase the sales of the 3DS in 2012, with many gamers now using smartphones and tablets for portable gaming rather than dedicated consoles.
