Nikon has announced a new point-and-shoot compact digital camera called the Coolpix S02. This camera is the follow-up to the Coolpix S01 and promises the same compact size with better image quality. The camera has a resolution of 13.2 megapixels and features a CMOS sensor.
On the back, the camera has a 2.7-inch touchscreen monitor that controls settings and shows video playback. The camera is available in silver, white, pink, and blue colors and is designed to be small enough for users to keep with them at all times.
The camera can record full HD resolution video at 30 frames per second with stereo sound. The camera also features 3x optical zoom and has a bright xenon flash for taking pictures in lowlight environments. The camera also features a number of automatic photography modes and the ability to make artistic photographs with special filters built-in. Pricing and availability are unannounced at this time.
