Nikon has confirmed thier latest DSLR, the Nikon D3x, which features a massive 24.5 megapixels.
The D3x features a 24.5 megapixel FX format CMOS sensor which is more than double the one used in the current D3, and has an ISO range of 100 to 1600.
It also features a 16 bit image processor as opposed to a 14 bit which is in the current D3.

- Two Crop Modes: DX format and 5:4 ratio. The DX crop mode can be automatically enabled when a DX lens is attached.
- Quick response: approx. 40 ms shutter-lag and 55 ms viewfinder black-out.

The D3x is due to go on sale later this month, there is no word on pricing as yet.
