NextComputing has added a new workstation PC to their range with the launch of the Vigor EX, it features a dual chassis design, with a shock mounted internal chassis and a rugged external chassis.
It comes with a choice of a range of different specifications which include a built in 17 inch monitor, a choice of Intel processors including an Intel Core i7 processor and up to 48GB of RAM.
Our customers in the military and other demanding markets have for years relied on our Vigor series rugged workstations for their mission-critical applications,” says Bob Labadini, President & CTO of NextComputing. “The Vigor EX continues this tradition by packaging the latest COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) motherboard technology in our durable dual-chassis design, while maintaining our commitment to quality and custom engineering services.”
It can also hold up to 7TB of hard drive storage, and has seven full sized PCI Express and PCI expansion slots, plus a DVD writer, Ethernet, no details on pricing but we suspect it is fairly expensive.
