This week Phillips has released new updates for its Philips Hue home automation application which is available for both Android and iOS devices and brings a wealth of new features and tweaks to make it easier to control your home using the company’s range of Hue smart sockets, lights and home automation hub.
The latest Philips Hue 2.0 application is now streamlined many of the features that are already available making them easier to control groups of lights at once directly from your smartphone or tablet.
Another new feature included in the latest Philips Hue 2.0 app is a new‘Wake Up’ setting that gently fades your lights on at a certain time to help you rise a little quicker by mimicking a sunrise in your home. Another new feature is the useful ‘Nightlight’ recipe that offers low levels of blue light to not disrupt your sleep cycles.
The latest Philips Hue 2.0 home automation app is now available to download directly from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store, although you will need to purchase Philips Hue starter kit price at around £150 which includes the Philips Hue wireless bridge that connects directly to router and handles communications from your mobile devices to your smart home sockets and lights.
