Nikon has just unveiled a new compact the Nikon Coolpix S8100 that is equipped with a 12.1 mega pixel lens and is capable of recording 1080p HD video.
The new Nikon Coolpix S8100 compact is the cheapest of the cameras unveiled by Nikon today and has a few interesting features.
Equipped with a 10x zoom the Nikon Coolpix S8100 is able to capture 5 shots in succession at 10 fps. That might not be top spec for most cameras but for a compact designed with a of $300 its a neat little feature.
For extremely fast action shots, the S8100’s Sports Continuous mode records up to approximately 120 fps using Subject Tracking it can automatically track a designated subject.
On the back is a 3″ 640 x 480 LCD viewer screen with with a wide viewing angle and antiglare
coating.
The Nikon Coolpix S8100 will be available towards the end of this month for $300
