Anticipated Upgrades and Features
As yet, there are no detailed specifications on what upgrades the new Moto Z2 will get over the Moto Z. However, we can make some educated guesses based on industry trends and Motorola’s previous releases. We suspect the design of the handset could remain largely the same, maintaining the sleek and modular design that the Moto Z series is known for. This modularity allows users to attach various Moto Mods, such as additional battery packs, projectors, and high-quality speakers, enhancing the phone’s functionality.
One of the most anticipated upgrades is likely to be a faster processor. The current Moto Z is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Moto Z2 equipped with a more powerful chipset, possibly the Snapdragon 835 or even the newer Snapdragon 845. This upgrade would significantly improve the phone’s performance, making it more efficient for multitasking and running demanding applications.
In addition to a faster processor, we can also expect the Moto Z2 to come with more RAM. The current model offers 4GB of RAM, but the new version might feature 6GB or even 8GB, aligning with the trend of increasing RAM in flagship smartphones. This would make the device more capable of handling multiple applications simultaneously without any lag.
Camera and Other Enhancements
Another area where we can expect significant improvements is the camera. The Moto Z features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. For the Moto Z2, we anticipate enhanced camera capabilities, possibly with dual-lens technology, higher megapixel counts, and improved low-light performance. These enhancements would make the Moto Z2 more competitive with other flagship smartphones that are focusing heavily on camera quality.
Battery life is another critical aspect that Motorola is likely to address. While the Moto Z has a decent battery life, the Moto Z2 could feature a larger battery or more efficient power management, ensuring that users can go longer between charges. Additionally, fast charging technology is expected to be a standard feature, allowing users to quickly recharge their devices.
We can also expect a range of other new features, such as improved water and dust resistance, enhanced security features like facial recognition or an under-display fingerprint sensor, and possibly even support for 5G networks, making the Moto Z2 future-proof.
As soon as we get more details about the device, we will let you guys know. Stay tuned for more updates on the Moto Z2 as we approach its official announcement.
