Hewlett-Packard has this week introduced new additions to its Z line of entry-level workstations enabling the mini PC systems to be equipped with an Intel Xeon E-2176G processor supported by up to 32GB of DDR4-2400 memory thanks to the inclusion of two SODIMM slots and NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics. The new mini PC models take the form of systems in the form of the HP Z2 Tower, HP Z2 Small Form Factor, and HP Z2 Mini, together with the EliteDesk 800 Workstation Edition with prices starting from $799.
The mini PC systems measure just 8.5 x 8.5 x 2.3 inches in size and offers room to install a 2.5 inch drive and an M.2 NVME 2280 SSD. Other connections take the form of USB 3.1 Gen-2 Type-C port, 4 x USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, DisplayPort and audio.
Connectivity is provided by support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 an Hewlett-Packard hass made available a wide variety of different options to suit a wide variety of different budgets and applications. HP also explains that the mini PC can be fitted in racks allowing seven systems per tray giving you a maximum of 56 per rack. F
