Flickr has this week announce the launch of a new service called Curated Connections which has been created to offer Flickr members a new licensing experience and a way to make money from their photographs.
Flickr explains that its team of curators are currently searching the Flickr library for exciting and credible opportunities for members to share their photography with photo agencies, editors, bloggers and other creative minds who are seeking original content.
To be considered for the new Flickr Curated Connections you need to register your interest over on the Flickr website. Flickr explained in their press release :
“Getting discovered for creative opportunities is as easy as being a Flickr member and uploading the photos you love. Flickr’s curators are searching for exciting and credible opportunities for you to share your exceptional photography. They will reach out to you via Flickr Mail and provide details on Flickr’s licensing program.
Licensing is a great way to earn money with your photos, and whether you are new to licensing or an experienced pro, we want to make this process transparent and easy. We’ll handle the tedious work and keep you focused on taking great photos!”
Early this year the 500px website also announced a a commercial licensing service that sells photos for no less than $250 and provides the photographer with 70 percent of the payment. For more information on the new Flickr Curated Connections jump over to the Flickr website for details.
