ASUS has this week added new additions to its range of Republic of Gamers (ROG) lineup announcing the availability to preorder the Zephyrus (GX501GI) and the Zephyrus M (GM501) powerful gaming laptops both of which are equipped with 15.6 inch displays. The Zephyrus M is priced from $2,199 and the Zephyrus GX501 is available to preorder from $2,899.
The difference between the two gaming laptops is the addition of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics, 16GB of DDR4-2666 RAM, and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage to the Zephyrus GX501 all powered by a 50Wh battery. Both them Zephyrus M and Zephyrus are powered by an Intel Core i7-8750H hexa-core processor and are fitted with a 15.6 inch display offering users a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels the refresh rate of 144 Hz as well as supporting NVIDIA G-Sync technology and providing gamers with a 3ms response time. In addition to the hardware Asus also explains that the Zephyrus laptop has an “IPS-level display” finished with ant-glare coating, while the lower-priced Zephrus M offers a matte finish to its display.
