As well as announcing a wealth of new hardware in the form of new MacBook Pro laptops, Bluetooth speakers and iPads, Apple has also refreshed its iMac range with the latest 2017 21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K display
now starting at $1299.
The new iMac features Radeon Pro 500 series graphics and the 27-inch iMac is equipped with a Retina 5K display and can be fitted with up to 8GB of dedicated VRAM and the smaller 21.5-inch iMac is fitted with a Retina 4K display and up to 4GB.
Again as with the MacBook Pro range the new iMac have been created to support VR hardware and software such as the HTC Vive and the ability to create VR content and 360 degree images using Final Cut Pro from within the VR environment. Apple explains more about the new iMac range :
