Anker has today announced the launch of two new Qi wireless chargers, forming the new PowerWave Series of wireless charges, and designed specifically for Apple’s iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphones. The new PowerWave 7.5 Charging Stand and Charging Pad are the first devices from Anker to support 7.5 watt charging offering users with a quicker way of charging their iPhone devices. Previous Anker wireless charges only provided 5 watt charging for iOS devices although Anker does create 10 watt Android wireless charges. “PowerWave’s exclusive technology automatically adjusts to your device’s high-speed threshold, cutting up to an hour off of charging time.”
The new 7.5 watt wireless charging stations have been made possible thanks to the rollout of iOS 11.2 enabling the latest iPhone smartphones to take advantage of the extra power and charge wirelessly a little quicker. With both the charging stand and charging pad Anker has included a micro USB cable and QuickCharge 3.0 wall adapter, allowing owners to fast charge Android handsets or devices as well if desired straight from the wall. Anker has also equipped the Charging Pad with and integrated silent, cooling fan which helps keep both the charger and your iPhone cool during the wireless charging process. Both wireless charging devices are now available to purchase with the Anker PowerWave Charge Pad priced at $46 while the PowerWave 7.5 Charging Stand is priced at $50.
