It seems like everything is going dual-core today from notebooks and desktops down to the low-end of the spectrum, to tablets and smartphones. Netgear has announced the first DSL home Gateway that packs inside a dual-core processor. That processor promises to speed things up.
According to Netgear, that dual-core processor allows the user to run simultaneous high bandwidth apps without issues. The N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router also has an ADSL2+ modem inside to handle your modem duties and is combined with an 802.11n WiFi router. The WiFi router is a dual band router.
The router has 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels for gaming and HD video streaming. The device also has pair of USB ports that allow the sharing of external HDDs to turn them into network storage. The router is DLNA certified too. The N600 can be purchased now for $199.99.
