Netgear have just released details of their latest NAS storage devices the ReadyNAS Ultra 4 & Ultra 6. Both are powered by Intel’s Atom 1.66GHz processor a single-core chip in the Ultra 4 and a dual-core chip in the Ultra 6, together with 1GB of RAM and a choice of four or six 3.5-inch drive bays.
Netgear in addition to the standard network storage features has added a facility that allows you to stream media to any TiVo device, DLNA-certified machine (via Skifta), and mobile devices using Orb technologies.
Both the ReadyNAS Ultra 4 & Ultra 6 will be available to purchase later this month but there not the cheapest on the NAS block.
The Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 4 will cost $899 for twin 2TB drives and the Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 6 will cost $1,349 for six 1TB drives, so start saving now.
