Yesterday, the guys over at [source] spotted a new web page on Motorola’s website. The page listed a number of new Motorola products, which include a new version of the Motorola Xoom tablet called the Xoom 2.
It looks like one of the web designers at Motorola published the page on the site by mistake. This accidental reveal also showcased two new Android handsets named the Slimline and the Zaha, plus an intriguing watch phone.
We were going to show you some photos from the Motorola website, but the guys at Pocket Now have been asked to remove them from their site by Motorola. So, there’s not really much point in us putting them up and then having to remove them later.
Motorola Xoom 2: What We Know So Far
So, it looks like Motorola does have a new version of their Xoom tablet in the works. The original Motorola Xoom was one of the first tablets to run Android Honeycomb, which was specifically designed for tablets. It featured a 10.1-inch display, a dual-core processor, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Given the advancements in technology since the original Xoom’s release, we can expect the Xoom 2 to come with significant upgrades.
Rumors suggest that the Xoom 2 might feature a higher resolution display, possibly even a quad-HD screen, and a more powerful processor, likely from the Snapdragon series. Additionally, improvements in battery life, camera quality, and overall design are anticipated. Considering that Motorola is getting their website ready with details about it, we suspect it won’t be very long before we get some sort of official announcement.
New Android Handsets: Slimline and Zaha
The accidental reveal also included two new Android handsets named the Slimline and the Zaha. While details are scarce, the names themselves give us some clues. The Slimline could be a sleek, ultra-thin smartphone aimed at competing with other slim devices like the iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy series. On the other hand, the Zaha might be a more robust device, possibly with advanced features aimed at power users or professionals.
Motorola has a history of producing innovative smartphones. For example, the Motorola Razr series was iconic for its slim design and flip mechanism. More recently, the Moto G series has been popular for offering good performance at an affordable price. Therefore, it’s exciting to see what new features and innovations the Slimline and Zaha will bring to the table.
The watch phone is another intriguing addition. While smartwatches have become quite common, a watch phone that can function independently of a smartphone could be a game-changer. Imagine having all the functionalities of a smartphone on your wrist, from making calls to browsing the internet. This could be particularly useful for fitness enthusiasts, travelers, and anyone who prefers a more minimalist approach to technology.
