Motorola has added another Android smartphone to its Droid range with the launch of the Motorola Droid Pro. The Motorola Droid Pro comes with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, Android 2.2 Froyo.
It features a 3.1 inch display and a QWERTY keyboard, there is also a five megapixel camera, integrated WiFi, GPS, 3G and it comes with 8GB of storage.
Business-Oriented Features
The Motorola Droid Pro is aimed at the business market, and Motorola is obviously looking to compete with BlackBerry smartphones, as it features corporate-level security. This includes support for complex password protection, remote wipe capabilities, and data encryption, ensuring that sensitive business information remains secure. Additionally, the Droid Pro supports Microsoft Exchange, making it easier for professionals to sync their emails, contacts, and calendars seamlessly.
Enhanced Productivity Tools
Beyond its security features, the Motorola Droid Pro comes equipped with a suite of productivity tools designed to enhance the user experience for business professionals. The QWERTY keyboard is particularly noteworthy, offering a tactile typing experience that many users prefer for composing emails and documents on the go. The 3.1-inch display, while compact, is sharp and clear, making it easy to read text and view presentations.
The five-megapixel camera is another useful feature, allowing users to capture high-quality images and videos, which can be particularly handy for documenting meetings or capturing whiteboard notes. Integrated WiFi and GPS ensure that users can stay connected and navigate efficiently, whether they are in the office or traveling.
The Motorola Droid Pro also comes with 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot, providing ample space for storing important documents, presentations, and multimedia files. This makes it a versatile device for both work and personal use.
The Motorola Droid Pro will be available early next year, and while there are no details on pricing as yet, it is expected to be competitively priced to attract business users looking for a reliable and secure smartphone option.
