We previously heard some specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy M30s smartphone and now some more details on the handset have emerged.
The handset will come with a 6.4 inch display that will have a FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and it will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 9610 mobile processor. This processor is known for its efficiency and performance, making it a suitable choice for a mid-range smartphone like the Galaxy M30s. The Exynos 9610 is built on a 10nm process and features an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. This combination ensures that the device can handle multitasking and demanding applications with ease.
Memory and Storage Options
There will be two versions of the device, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the other with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This allows users to choose a model that best fits their needs, whether they require more memory for multitasking or additional storage for apps, photos, and videos. Both versions will also support expandable storage via a microSD card slot, allowing users to add up to 512GB of additional storage.
Camera Capabilities
Now some details have been revealed about the handset’s camera. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This front-facing camera is equipped with features like AI beautification and portrait mode, ensuring that users can capture high-quality selfies in various lighting conditions.
On the back, there will be a triple camera setup, and we now have details on the cameras. The three rear cameras will be made up of one 48-megapixel f/2.0 primary camera, one 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth camera, and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. The primary camera is designed to capture detailed and vibrant photos, while the depth camera helps in creating bokeh effects for portrait shots. The ultra-wide camera allows users to capture a wider field of view, making it ideal for landscape photography and group photos.
The camera setup also includes features like Night Mode, Super Slow-Mo, and AI scene recognition, which automatically adjusts the camera settings based on the scene being captured. This ensures that users can take stunning photos and videos in various conditions without needing to manually adjust the settings.
Battery and Software
The handset will also come with a massive 6000 mAh battery, which is one of the largest batteries available in a smartphone. This large battery capacity ensures that the Galaxy M30s can easily last through a full day of heavy usage, including gaming, video streaming, and web browsing. The device also supports fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge the battery when needed.
The Galaxy M30s will come with Android Pie out of the box, with Samsung’s One UI on top. One UI is designed to provide a user-friendly experience with features like a system-wide dark mode, improved one-handed usage, and a cleaner interface. Samsung has also committed to providing regular software updates, ensuring that the device remains secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
As yet, there are no details on when it will launch, but it is expected to be available in select markets soon. The Galaxy M30s is shaping up to be a compelling option in the mid-range smartphone segment, offering a combination of powerful hardware, versatile camera capabilities, and long battery life.
