Not too long ago, @evleaks posted some preliminary specifications of the HTC One Two aka HTC M8, including a Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB RAM and more.
Now, according to a XDA-Developers member mike1986, a very popular ROM developer on the XDA-Developers Forum who also get leaked HTC software builds, has some additional information about what we can expect from the HTC One’s successor.
According to him, the purported HTC M8 will be known as HTC One+. Well, it does make sense as we’ve seen a similar treatment from the Taiwanese OEM for other handsets, for example, HTC One X, HTC One X+, etc. He clearly mentions that there will be no capacitive buttons such as the back and home key which were present in the HTC One.
On the rear, the purported handset will feature a 6MP or 8MP UltraPixel camera, there’s also a possibility of a dual camera lenses as we’ve heard before. Surprisingly, he believes it will come with Snapdragon 805 on board, instead of the Snapdragon 800 chipset and will with the faster 2GB of DDR3 RAM.
The alleged handset will come with a little bigger display, featuring 5-inch with 1080p resolution. Although some rumors suggested that it will feature a 2K resolution, and we’re pretty hopeful it will, but let’s see what HTC has planned for us. It also comes with a bigger battery of 2,900 mAh compared to 2,300 in its predecessor.
The handset is rumored to make an official appearance in February, and we’ll find out how much truth lies in all these rumors. Stay tuned.
